Day 1 JOHANNESBURG
Arrive in Johannesburg and transfer to your hotel in Rosebank. Dinner and overnight at the Rosebank Hotel.

Day 2 JOHANNESBURG
Enjoy a leisurely morning after breakfast in the hotel and depart for a Johannesburg and Soweto tour visiting: Carlton Centre – Top of Africa: this is a view of Johannesburg from the highest building in Africa. Continue to Soweto: Soweto has a culture of its own. Sites include Nelson Mandela’s former home and the Hector Petersen Memorial. Enjoy dinner at a Restaurant in Soweto. After dinner return to the Rosebank Hotel.

Day 3 JOHANNESBURG
After breakfast drive to the south of Johannesburg to visit the Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy for girls. Continue to the Apartheid Museum. Learn about the conditions that existed in South Africa before the turn of the century in pre-democratic South Africa. Relive the tales of Apartheid captured within the walls of this museum. This informative experience will leave the visitor in awe of the transformation of a truly diverse nation. Return to the Rosebank Hotel.

Day 4 JOHANNESBURG / KRUGER NATIONAL PARK
Very early departure from Johannesburg leaving the bustle of the City behind as you head towards Mpumalanga – The place where the sun rises. With fresh air and open fields around, sit back and relax as we head down the Escarpment to the “Lowveld”.
Kruger National Park is situated in the heart of Mpumalanga. The park was established in 1889, is more than 2 million hectares and bigger than the countries Wales or Israel. More than 146 mammal species, 507 bird species and 400 different tree types call this spectacular “Bushveld”, home. Upon arrival we check into our up market Lodge, with its luxury en-suite bungalows. We have time to explore the lodge and enjoy lunch (own expense) before we embark on our first afternoon Game Drive. Our open 4X4 Game Drive vehicles are the perfect vantage point and will prove to make this an unforgettable experience. Dinner is served and we have time to enjoy the magical sounds of the African night before retiring to our rooms.

Day 5 KRUGER NATIONAL PARK
We start at dawn and do a full day Game Drive to try and spot as many animals as possible. We will also visit Skukuza, the main Camp in the Park where we will have time to visit the fascinating Stevenson Hamilton Library. We embark on an afternoon Drive to see if we can spot some more of the magnificent creatures that roam this area. Our Game Drive vehicles are radio linked to other vehicles in the Park and therefore we have an advantage in tracking down the elusive “Big 5”. We will return to our camp in the late afternoon and have some time to relax before dinner and talk about everything we experienced on this day.

Day 6 KRUGER NATIONAL PARK / JOHANNESBURG / CAPETOWN
We start at dawn and does a morning game drive taking in as much as possible on this, our last day in the Park. By this time hopefully we have caught a glimpse of the elusive Leopard. We have a late breakfast and depart thereafter for our scenic drive towards Johannesburg.
We explore the Mpumalanga Panorama route, and along the way we visit some breathtaking views and spectacular scenery. Our first stop is God’s Window, an overwhelmingly beautiful viewpoint with a 1000m-drop into the “Lowveld”. At the Bourke’s Luck Potholes, the Blyde (Happy) and the Treur (Sad) Rivers meet up and form a magnificent display in the Blyde River Canyon. We stroll back in time, down the historic main street of Pilgrim’s Rest. It takes us back to the days when dreamers and desperadoes from around the world converged on this little-known valley in a hectic scramble for the riches that lay beneath its grassy hillsides. Return to Johannesburg in the early evening to board your flight to Cape Town. On arrival in Cape Town, you will be met and transferred to Portswood Hotel.

Day 7 CAPETOWN
Full day tour offering a wealth of insight into South Africa’s history, financially supports five different community-based organizations through the entrance fees they levy [incl. in the tour price]. Brief educational introduction to Cape Town with a visit to Bo-Kaap, the picturesque “Malay Quarter”, the dynamic District Six Museum and an informal school. Continue on a walking tour of Langa. You will have the opportunity to interact with residents. Try the traditional African sorghum beer or ginger beer at a township shop or tavern. Visit a Reconstruction and Development Plan housing project. After lunch (own expense) you will board the ferry for a short trip to Robben Island for a specialist guided tour. Robben Island is the former prison, now a museum, where former president Nelson Mandela and hundreds of other political prisoners were held for many years, overnight at Portswood Hotel.

Day 8 CAPETOWN
This morning after breakfast you will be collected from the hotel for a tour of the Mother city. The first part of the day will be spent on Table Mountain- a cable car will take you to the 1086 m-mountain top towering over Cape Town. Spend the afternoon doing last minute shopping or explore the city on your own. Overnight at Portswood Hotel.

Day 9 CAPE TOWN/VICTORIA FALLS
Early morning transfer to the airport for flight to Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe. Arrive at Victoria Falls Airport, meet and greet with your road transfer to the hotel in Victoria Falls. This evening experience a show of traditional music and dance at the African Boma. On arrival you will take your place beside a large open fireplace and the drums start beating out a slow, hypnotic, ancient, rhythm. Overnight at the Ilala Lodge.

Day 10 VICTORIA FALLS
This morning you will visit a unique African village. Then proceed on a tour of the Falls, visiting devil’s Cataract, the Main Falls and the Rain Forest. Thereafter visit the Big Tree and the craft market. Return to your hotel where you may spend the rest of the day at leisure. This evening you will be transferred to the jetty for a Sunset Cruise up the mighty Zambezi River. Take in the sights and sounds of the wildlife and view the spectacular sunset while enjoying drinks and snacks. Overnight at the Ilala Lodge.

Day 11 VICTORIA FALLS/JOHANNESBURG/DEPART
Spend the morning at leisure or perhaps visit the Craft Market. Later transfer to Victoria Falls airport for your flight home connecting in Johannesburg.
