5 Day Kenya National Parks Safari

 

Enjoy exploring Aberdare, Lake Nakuru and Masai Mara national parks for an awesome adventure exposing you to plenty of wildlife and exciting features

Day 1: Nairobi – Aberdare

An Aberdare Safari offers you something quite unique. With a mountain range running through the Aberdares you’ll find moorland, ice-cold streams and thick forests. This mountainous area has been described as ‘Scotland with Lions’. You will depart Nairobi at 0800hrs to cross the Kenyan Highlands, through pineapple and coffee plantations. You will pass through the industrial town of Thika and the intensely cultivated farms of the central Kenya. Arrive in time for lunch at Aberdare Country Club. In the afternoon, transfer to Aberdare National Park and on to The Ark Lodge for bird watching and overnight. Dinner and overnight at the Ark Lodge or Treetops Lodge

Day 2: Aberdare – Lake Nakuru

After breakfast at your lodge, drive to Lake Nakuru arriving in time for lunch. After Lunch, proceed for an afternoon game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park. Lake Nakuru’s claim to fame is anchored on its flamingos and over 400 species of birds found here. It is the perfect place to experience one of the world’s largest ornithological spectacles. The lake itself is a soda lake on the floor of the rift valley. The Lake has also earned a reputation as an important haven for endangered species, particularly the Rothschild Giraffe and the black and white rhino. Lions, waterbuck, buffalo and baboons are all residents here. Dinner and overnight at Lake Nakuru lodge.

Day 3: Lake Nakuru SafariMasai Mara Tour

Take breakfast and drive across the plains to reach Masai Mara Game Reserve, arguably the world’s most famous game reserve with unrivalled natural beauty and abundance of wildlife. After lunch, go for an afternoon game drive till dusk. Dinner and overnight at Mara Sopa Lodge

Day 4: Wildlife viewing in Masai Mara

You will spend the day driving through nature as it was intended to be – huge plains, rolling hills and an abundance of game matched nowhere else on earth.  Look out for elephant, rhino, buffalo, lion & leopard.  If travelling between July and October, you may get to witness the impressive herds of over 1 million wildebeest, zebra and Thomson’s Gazelles in their Annual Migration.  Sitting around the camp fire, watching the sun set is the perfect way to finish a day’s game viewing in this “Mara paradise.” Dinner and overnight at Mara Simba Lodge

Day 5: Return from Masai Mara Safari – Nairobi

After breakfast return to Nairobi arriving in the afternoon.
