Aguia Negra Lodge Vilanculos, Inhambane

Aguia Negra is a small comfortable and affordable lodge situated at Vilanculos 720 km's north of Maputo and is the springboard to the romantic islands of the Bazaruto Archipelago.  Aguia Negra is situated on the beach at Vilanculos and has views across the sea to the islands of Margaruque and Benguerra. The situation is ideal to explore the islands, coral reefs and experience both big game and fly fishing.

Chalets: The tall framed thatched chalets have been built from indigenous material, and blend in the natural surroundings. There are 12 chalets all designed to accommodate a maximum of 6 people.

Accommodation: All rates are inclusive of 17% local taxes. Rates are liable to change without notice and increases in local Mozambique taxes. Sail aboard locally charted yachts and catamarans can be booked for daily, sunset, overnight and 5 day island cruises are available.

Luxury Units: Air-conditioned, equipped with television & refrigerator. There are 12 luxury units all designed to accommodate a maximum of 3 people.

Restaurant and Bar: The Restaurant and Bar with its own extensive views enable guests to relax and enjoy there meals and sundowners. For the sport fanatics, a Satellite TV is also found in the Bar. Fishing and diving excursions can also be arranged. Taking a cruise an ideal way of exploring the full beauty of the Islands.

 

Activities that can be done at this lodge include Diving and Snorkeling.

Vilanculos Dive Charters, with its fully trained Instructor, is fitted with all the necessary equipment to provide even a beginner with the opportunity to Scuba Dive. Snorkeling is done through Mozambique Game Fishing Safaris working from Aguia Negra Hotel. Traveling to Two Mile Reef to snorkel in the crystal clear waters. Then to Bazaruto's south point to climb a large sand dune for its panoramic views. After lunching take a smooth ride home via Benguerra lodge for a cup of tea or a cool beer.
