Day 1 ARRIVE IN DAKAR, SENEGAL
International flight arrives Dakar. You are met, assisted and transferred to
your hotel. Afternoon at leisure to relax and refresh.
Overnight at Novotel Dakar Or Similar
Day 2 DAKAR
Today go on a city tour of Metropolitan Dakar. Visit the colorful markets
including Tilen Market, famous for a variety of medicinal herbs and traditional
healers. Visit the National Art Gallery and the picturesque residential district
of Medina.

Overnight at Novotel Dakar Or Similar
Day 3 GOREE ISLAND
Visit the World Heritage Site of Goree Island including "the Door of No
Return". Tour includes a visit to the ethnographic museum and a lecture by the
curator on the history of Goree Island.

Day 4 PINK LAKE
Tour of Pink Lake. Interact with the salt harvesters. Explore the sand dunes in
a 4-wheel driver vehicle. In the afternoon visit the neighboring Mandinka
village. Continue to St. Louis.

Overnight at The Residence Or Similar
Day 5 ST. LOUIS
Tour of St. Louis. Explore the narrow streets flanked by houses with carved
wooden balconies and verandas.

Day 6 DJOUDJ NATIONAL BIRD PARK
Depart St. Louis to Kaolack. Enroute visit Touba. Visit the Djoudj National
Bird Park, which is considered one of the most important bird sanctuaries in
the world. Situated on a major palearctic migratory route, this park is a
paradise for bird enthusiasts. Some of the world's greatest concentrations of
white pelicans and flamingos can be seen here: up to 10,000 of each species.

Day 7 BANJUL, THE GAMBIA
After breakfast, depart to Banjul, The Gambia. Afternoon tour of Banjul

Day 8 JUFFURE
Tour of Juffure, Alex Haley's, ancestral village and James Island Or optional
visit to an Orphanage/School. This evening, relax at the beach.

Day 9 ABUKO NATURE RESERVE
Tour of Abuko Nature reserve, Gambia's principal wildlife Reserve. You may
likely see chimpanzees and other animals but will certainly see a variety of
exotic birds. Visit the carving and craft center.

Day 10 SALOUM ISLANDS
Return to Senegal. Enroute visit places of interest including the Saloum
Islands. Continue to Saly Beach Resort for overnight.

Day 11 SALY BEACH OR LOCAL VILLAGE
Choose one: (1) Relax at Saly Beach Resort Or (2) Local village Tour. Return to
Dakar for overnight

Morning at leisure before departure home
